The Lexus GX is a midsize SUV that is distinct from other models on the market in several exciting ways. While this prestigious, capable SUV has been extensively redesigned for the 2024 model year, it continues to have a truck-based frame to support its off-road capabilities. It features a GA-F platform with standard four-wheel drive. One powertrain will be available for 2024, and this is a more powerful V6, twin-turbo 3.4-liter engine. It delivers 349 horsepower and is associated with a 10-speed auto transmission. With this engine, the 2024 Lexus GX's towing capacity is 8,000 pounds. Additional mechanical features include Multi-Terrain Select, an Electronic-Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, Crawl Control, and Downhill Assist Control.
The GX Overtrail trim is a new addition for 2024. This GX adds 18-inch wheels, 33-inch all-terrain tires, an aluminum skid plate, black exterior cladding, and an electronic locking rear differential. It also has the option for a dual-tone exterior.
The exterior of the 2024 Lexus GX continues to express its confidence through a boxy profile with a tall cabin. Across the sides, you will find a crisp, geometric definition. On the nose, the slender headlights are accented with a swoosh-style LED bar. The A-style grille is designed with horizontal accent bars, and this look continues below the grille with smaller horizontal slits.
This three-row model offers exceptional headroom, legroom, and a distinctly modern, upscale feel. The tall dashboard has a two-tone, layered look with a wide display screen in the center stack and a wide center console. Captain's chairs are available in select trims in the second row. Available or standard features are a head-up display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, lane departure mitigation, lane keeping with steering assistance, adaptive cruise control, heated seats for the first two rows, a 21-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, a power-folding third row, and numerous additional high-end features.
