What's New for the 2025 Lexus GX 550?

The midsize GX 550 SUV is differentiated from other Lexus models with its rugged styling and capabilities. In 2025, the GX 550 is in its second year and displays a few improvements for you to enjoy. It continues to be available with six trim levels, including the Premium, Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, Overtrail and Overtrail+.

The 2025 Lexus GX 550 comes with a V6 turbo 3.4-liter gas engine across all trim levels, and this engine generates 349 horsepower. All trims also come with all-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Luxury+ trim level also comes with an electronically adjustable suspension. The Overtrail adds a locking rear differential, adjustable suspension dampers, and hydraulic body-roll control. A 1-inch lifted suspension is a new addition for the Overtrail and Overtrail+. All trim levels now have memory settings for the side mirrors.

The GX 550 is a luxury model with an outdoorsy vibe. The profile shows off a boxy cabin with a flat hood and curved front end. Both the side windows and flared fenders have a squared-off design. The doors are accented with dark molding and an angled, crisp accent line. The grille and LED headlights have an innovative shape that gives the GX 550 a distinctly modern look. Some of the exterior features available with the 2025 GX 550 are roof rails, all-terrain tires, power-deploying running boards, and more.

For the first time, the Lexus GX 550 comes with memory settings for the steering wheel, powered steering wheel adjustments, and driver's seat memory settings. The standard and optional features offered with the 2025 GX 550 include a digital key, heated seats in the first two rows, second-row captain's chairs, a surround-view camera, a heated steering wheel, a digital rear mirror, a cooled center console, second-row sunshades, a tinted sunroof, a Mark Levinson premium audio system with 21 speakers, a hands-free liftgate, a power-folding third row, a surround-view camera, automated parking, and many additional features.
